The defender was trying to take a foul for the team, knowing he had no chance if Antonio got away from him. Another good advantage from the ref but 100% should have come back and at least booked him.

Yeah that neck tackle on Antonio was nasty but luckily the ref allowed us to play on and score.

There definately was a passage of play after the sending off where we were finding it difficult against their 10 men. They were wining all the 50/50 balls and we were constantly giving away possession. It was pretty worrying. Luckily a good save by Fab and then Lanzini coming on calmed things down.

A goal on the break and it's all rosy.

We will play better this season and lose.

Go on easy on Northern, he hasn't slept all weekend weeping over HIS TOTTENHAM

Wasnt really a look taken at the challenge on Antonio in the lead up to the third goal. The centre half grabbed him around the neck and threw him into the ground. Thats a yellow and could have been dangerous.
Thuggish team which as said is ironic given their diving and squealing even since Captain Alice Band has left.

Crassus, my wife is from Birmingham, her brothers fiance is a villa fan, she had the cheek to have a moan at the referee for favouring us with decisions.

The foul on Bowen for me was harsh, but could have been either a red or a yellow, the face smash on Fornals was a straight red and arguably when Antonio got clattered that should have been a red as well, don't think anything got made of it?

Not to mention the fucking gymnastics that Marvellous Nakamba performed when him and Fornals went for a 50/50, nothing done about that either.

1 thing that struck me, when the camera went to the crowd, what a bunch of ugly pikey cunt fans they have.

Even the players were saying they were sloppy in parts of the game and add in the ref making bad decisions all round it gave Villa a glimpse of hope but once the third went in we knew we didn't have to step up a further gear.

Two of the things I like about this team is when they are on the back foot they make damn sure bodies are in the way and more often or not they get that killer goal that settles it in our favour.

All I've ever wanted is a team that gives the opposition a proper game week in week out, whether we are below par or not we always seem to do this these days. I also like the fact our younger players are now looking to improve/expand on their input when playing.

Seems to me we are on course for a totally focussed performance this Sunday.....hopefully that is the case.

Troy, yes mate I saw that.

Whoever it was, had his arm around Antonios neck as they fell.

Considering they've had the diving queen Grealish in their side for years, they don't have put it about a bit.

It certainly wasn’t mentioned in commentary or in the highlights shows - and I don’t know if you’ve chatted about it on here - but that third goal in the buildup Antonio looked like he was assaulted. Should have been another red. Could’ve broken his fucking neck

We played pretty well for most of the match, sometimes excellently.

After our first and second goal, we took the foot off the gas a bit, but had things under control. The worst period was after the sending off up until Lanzini came on, when we had been panicing a bit due to Villa's defiant rally. Manu helped us calm down a bit, (Noble had been warming up as well, and he would have helped get some calm into our play too).

Once we got our third, they were dead. If we'd had an extra ten minutes, we could have got an extra couple of goals.

So our worst period was from the 50th minute to the 80th. We really didn't start to make the extra man count until Lanzini came on.

proof positive the refs colluded with VAR - " we cant send off both CB's from the same incident- lets make some shit up " what i dont understand is why they didnt send off the throatcut CB and leave the booking for the bowen foul ? It was right in front of us and bowen was moving at speed and in on goal if he'd not been rugby tackled ... no way he made a meal of it...

'we played pretty shit, even with 10 men they were all over us.'

Not in the game I watched mate
They had a 20 minute spell where they tried to get forward, rest of the time they played square through no idea or were chasing shadows
We were comfortably dominant in third gear, as I said at half time, going up one in the final 15 with top never needed
